Abstract: This research investigates the benefits of cooperative learning strategies in enhancing collaborative skills and academic achievement among early childhood education (ECE) learners in Nigeria. The objective is to analyze how cooperative learning activities promote peer interaction, teamwork, and knowledge sharing in diverse ECE settings. A survey research design is utilized to gather insights from ECE educators, instructional designers, and curriculum specialists. A purposive sample of 200 participants from Benue State is selected based on their expertise in cooperative learning methodologies and ECE pedagogy. Findings indicate that structured cooperative learning experiences, including group projects, peer tutoring, and collaborative problem-solving tasks, foster positive social behaviors, cognitive development, and academic engagement among young learners. Recommendations emphasize professional development in cooperative learning strategies, inclusive classroom practices, and policy support for collaborative learning environments that enhance ECE educational outcomes.
